Max and Warrun started their swimming lessons, so we bought some nice swimming suits for them to look cool (but stay warm) in the water. Max seems to have a good time when he's in the pool but Warrun still need some time to get used to all that water and all the excitement.
On the 30th of September the Horse-racing carnival has started which meant that on the 22nd of October the famous 'Cox Plate' races were held on the Moonee Vally race-course (just behind our house) and the last weekend of October was a long weekend due to the 'Melbourne Cup' (on November 1st).
Finally we've become member of FOTZ (Friends Of The Zoos), meaning we can easily make short trips to the nearby Melbourne Zoo to show some animals to M&W other than on pictures. We've taken them twice so far, to see the elephants (they preferred small birds, that actually moved) and the seals which were very active and putting on a wonderful show for us! We're looking forward to taking the kids to Healesville sanctuary to show them some native animals as well, although we might just go and take them out to show them the animals in the wild.
